The project consist in the redesign of the area around the Dampoort station in the city of Ghent, Belgium.
The study tackles different problems related to the 475m viaduct and the public space around it in connection with a new development of the area which includes office, retail, hotel and residential blocks. The study comprises a new tunnel and the redesign of the viaduct and its underpasses. Main focus is also the use of public space around and underneath the structure.
I worked as part of the team on the initial studies and conceptual design.
